Addressing Microaggressions for Reconciliation & Growth: A Social Justice Education Initiative Tier Two Next Level workshop

Microaggressions are deceptively complex and addressing them is never as simple as we want it to be in the moment. Using insights from the most current research and the contexts that interest you, we will explore various actions and their potential outcomes. Bring your stories, and as always, your curiosity, to this interactive and research-based opportunity to further our understanding of microaggressions and our capacity to reconcile them when they do happen.

To empower employees with relevant knowledge and skills, the Office of Institutional Diversity is offering a 2-hour workshop: Free Expression at OSU.

Through a variety of interactive exercises, participants will (1) deepen their knowledge of the laws and policies that guide speech activity at Oregon State University, (2) reflect on how they may balance their professional and personal values as they guide student and employee speech activity and (3) practice exploring and negotiating challenging scenarios with their peers.

DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools: Train the Trainer

Insurance and Risk Management Services will facilitate a workshop for unit leaders and supervisors to provide exposure to the DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools. Attendees will gain hands-on practice and develop the skills necessary to assist other employees in understanding and incorporating the DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools into their work.
