In this session, Gabe Merrill with the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access will demonstrate and interact with resources to ensure that websites, course materials, PDFs, and other online information are accessible for those who use screen readers or have visual impairments. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how people access online material and basic tools to use to ensure clarity of communication.

In this session, you'll hear from OSU's Director of Access and Affirmative Action on the dos and don'ts of having service and emotional support animals at campus events.
The presentation will introduce attendees to the newly updated OSU policy. Participants will learn how to interact with program participants who bring animals to their events, what they can and cannot ask, and how to address concerns that allowing animals might impact others.
This 60-minute session will provide a comprehensive overview of the hotline process, including what types of concerns should be reported, how reports are handled, and what information reporters can expect throughout the process. We will outline the steps taken to review and investigate reports, ensuring confidentiality and fairness.
The New OSU Supervisor Series is an orientation program for employees starting in new manager, supervisor, or lead worker roles. Designed to be completed within the first month of their new role, this orientation series equips participants with foundational knowledge about supervisory responsibilities at OSU.

To empower employees with relevant knowledge and skills, the Office of Institutional Diversity is offering a 2-hour workshop: Free Expression at OSU.
Through a variety of interactive exercises, participants will (1) deepen their knowledge of the laws and policies that guide speech activity at Oregon State University, (2) reflect on how they may balance their professional and personal values as they guide student and employee speech activity and (3) practice exploring and negotiating challenging scenarios with their peers.
At this 1.5 hour meeting the OSU HR Support Services team gather and process new hire paperwork, take ID’s, cover benefits and opportunities associated with employment, and provide assistance with getting logged in and comfortable with OSU apps, systems, and webpages. Insurance and Risk Management Services will facilitate a workshop for unit leaders and supervisors to provide exposure to the DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools. Attendees will gain hands-on practice and develop the skills necessary to assist other employees in understanding and incorporating the DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools into their work. Registration is required.
Use of Oregon State University (OSU) credit cards must have a business purpose and comply with all OSU fiscal policies. Complete the training to learn more about the policy and credit cardholder responsibilities.
