DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools: Train the Trainer

Insurance and Risk Management Services will facilitate a workshop for unit leaders and supervisors to provide exposure to the DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools. Attendees will gain hands-on practice and develop the skills necessary to assist other employees in understanding and incorporating the DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools into their work. Registration is required.

Developing Grit - Strategies for Success in Work and Life

Grit is mental toughness. Grit is the ability to persevere to achieve difficult long-term goals. Grit is strongly associated with success in personal and professional life. Grit involves several elements: passion and purpose, development of habits and coping with unpleasant emotions such as fear, discouragement or embarrassment. This course will examine the nature of grit and identify specific methods for developing it.

Learn to recognize the stages of bullying, its effects and impact, and options for effective intervention.

Bullying education is recommended for all OSU students and employees.

Conflict Management

Participants are introduced to resolution strategies, framing messages, active listening, and a four-step model for addressing and navigating conflicts. Concepts covered are based on research theory in communication and conflict. Interactive elements illustrate key concepts and allow participants to experience and apply new skills.

Conflict management training is offered to all OSU students and employees.
