The FIS Banner online training provides an overall look at the organizational and accounting structure at Oregon State University. It is designed to help the user gain an understanding of how OSU is organized within the financial accounting system and how their unit fits into the big picture. In addition to organizational structure the course will cover fund accounting, FOAPAL accounting structure, Indexes, and an overview of the Fiscal Operations Manual.

Compliance in the Classroom

Many aspects of the classroom experience are connected to state, federal and institutional compliance directives. Join staff from the Office of the Registrar, Disability Access Services, and Equal Opportunity and Access to learn more about faculty responsibilities related to accommodating students (disability, pregnancy, religion, and military deployment) and responsibilities related to reporting sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment and child abuse. There will be time for questions, case studies, and consultation.

Recognizing and Responding to Discrimination and Discriminatory Harassment

This training is designed to inform OSU employees of University policies regarding discrimination and discriminatory harassment, as well as enable employees to identify discrimination and discriminatory harassment in the work place and respond appropriately if they occur, and prevent such behaviors in the future. Bullying

Learn to recognize the stages of bullying, its effects and impact, and options for effective intervention.

Bullying education is recommended for all OSU students and employees.

Conflict Management

Participants are introduced to resolution strategies, framing messages, active listening, and a four-step model for addressing and navigating conflicts. Concepts covered are based on research theory in communication and conflict. Interactive elements illustrate key concepts and allow participants to experience and apply new skills.

Conflict management training is offered to all OSU students and employees.
